The team

The Global Markets Securitised Products Group (GMSP) is focused on providing secured funding solutions to clients backed by a broad range of asset classes. We cover a broad diversity of clients, including banks, private equity firms, specialist lenders and asset managers. Sitting on the private side, GMSP possesses the unique advantage of a hybrid banking/FICC lens. Our origination strategy is focused on cross collaboration with Global Corporate & Investment Banking, targeting key global relationship clients of the Bank.

 

Programme Overview

Our GMSP program includes formal training and assignments in the Securitised Products space, across both the Real Estate Structured Finance and the Asset Backed Securities Finance / Residential Mortgages Backed Securities finance businesses.

 

Training and Development

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

 

Responsibilities

As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with day-to-day transaction needs, including transaction monitoring and deal preparation
  • Assist in preparing client pitch books, marketing materials and internal credit papers
  • Learn how to analyse credit risk and model structured credit transactions
  • Attend client meetings as you build your network and experience
  • Assessing market trends and provide quantitative data for the team

 

Eligibility

  • Candidates are required to be pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Academic semester and all studies should be complete, with a graduation timeframe between September 2025 and June 2026.
  • Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
  • Must be available to join the programme from June – August 2025

  • Finance and/or law related degree
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Detail oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Solid leadership, team, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Can multitask and prioritize in a demanding environment
  • A track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
