Job Description & Program Overview

This Global Compliance and Operational Risk Apprentice position will introduce you to BofA Securities and the Global Risk Management (GRM) group. GRM, which includes Global Compliance and Operational Risk, is an enterprise control function that provides independent risk management for BofA Securities. GRM’s function is to ensure the company pursues its responsible growth strategy through strong risk management practices while deploying its capital appropriately to support business activities and maximize shareholder value. GRM oversees the company’s governance and strategy for global risk management, including relationships with key regulators and supervisory institutions worldwide.

 

Our Global Compliance and Operational Risk Apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to develop an understanding of the framework and management of compliance and operational risk across a range of areas. As an Apprentice, you will be provided with the opportunity to work on various tasks necessary for the management of compliance and operational risk in EMEA as you build a strong platform to launch your career: Our culture of accountability and compliance requires that all employees comply with all relevant laws, regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies and procedures.

As an Apprentice, your primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to contributing to:

  • Implementing and maintaining appropriate risk management principles and policies, internal controls and processes designed to identify and mitigate risks while delivering results in an ever changing dynamic environment
  • Establishing and regularly updating a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, measure, monitor and control all aspects of risk
  • Ensuring that appropriate and effective risk management processes are in place throughout the company
  • Advising on regulatory interpretations while providing training, assessing regulatory developments and implementing policies
  • Promoting a culture across the company where risk management is embraced as this is vital to achieving responsible growth

In particular as a Compliance and Operational Risk Apprentice, you will contribute to the provision of Front Line Unit Compliance and Operational Risk services to the Equities Business located within the Paris based entity that include the following business groups:

  • Execution Services
  • Client Solutions
  • Asset Management Services
  • Equity Management

 

The role would also involve working relationships with Compliance and Operational Risk officers dealing with other businesses and with relevant support functions, in Paris primarily but also in different locations.

 

Your training and development is our top priority and you will be provided with extensive training and support from the Compliance and Operational Risk team based in Paris. 

Qualifications

  • Applications are accepted from Students preparing a Master Degree with Apprenticeship in the following disciplines: Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, Law,
  • Strong interest in Compliance and Operational Risk fields.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Team-working, problem solving skills & analytical skills, are key qualities for this Apprentice position
  • Has a drive for operational excellence and a commitment to achieving sustainable results
  • Demonstrates integrity and ethics by earning other’s trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
