2024 Chile Investment Banking Off-Cycle Analyst Program

Job Description

The Latin America Investment Banking group provides strong advisory expertise, capitalizing on powerful Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt and Equity underwriting to deliver integrated financial solutions.

Throughout the internship as an Off-Cycle Analyst, you will cover Chile primarily, supporting the local team, as well as coverage and industry bankers based out of New York.

Our Global Investment Bankers are dedicated to understanding the unique competitive and operating environments of different businesses, and to building strong, enduring client relationships. The Chile Investment Banking group provides M&A advisory and Capital Markets services to Chilean companies and multinational clients across all industries with assets or prospecting businesses in the country.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role assisting Senior Bankers in origination efforts, opportunity evaluation and deal execution, working on a broad scope of assignments and products.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, perform various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences, evaluate strategic alternatives and capital structure options.
  • Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research related to execution and origination of investment banking transactions.
  • Prepare presentations for clients, draft offering memorandums, prospectuses, CIMs, internal memos and other transaction-related materials.
  • Communicate and interact with internal partners and product areas as well as with clients and other external parties in conference calls, meetings, due diligence sessions, rehearsals, drafting sessions, management presentations, etc.
  • Manage different types of projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.

Core skills and requirements

  • No more than 2 years of professional experience since graduation, with degrees in finance, economics, business administration, industrial engineering or similar.
  • Solid MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish – business-level communication.
  • Must have a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.
  • Team player with assertiveness, initiative, leadership, and strong work ethic.
  • Based in Santiago, Chile.
