Job Description & Program Overview
Our apprentice program starts in September 2023, and we are currently looking for motivated and control focused Apprentices to join Global Markets Operations in our Rates Trade Control team in Chester in a full-time role whilst studying the Level 4 Professional Accounting/ Tax Technician
This is a great opportunity to join a world-renowned company and build a rewarding career in the Northwest. The Rates Trade Control Team supports the Global Rates Business, who are responsible for products including Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions and Cross Currency trades.

As an apprentice, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to, supporting the trading desks, and being responsible for the entire lifecycle of these trades, including:
- Trade validation/ reconciliation,
- Trade amendments,
- Regulatory & management reporting
- Issue resolution
We are continuously looking to improve our processes to provide the best control/support to key stakeholders and trading desks
Essential and desired competencies
- A clear motivation for Trade Control and a thirst for knowledge and understanding of the business
- Detail focused, with a high attention to detail
- A keen desire for learning
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity
- The ability to exercising good judgement
- Resilience and the ability to deliver excellence in an environment with obstacles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is essential
- Demonstrates integrity and ethics by earning other’s trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications
- 3 A-Levels (96 UCAS points/ CCC grades)
- Have at least a grade C or 5 in Maths and English Language GCSE or equivalent
- Been a resident of the UK for the past 3 years
- Not in full-time education when starting the apprenticeship
- Have the right to workand remain in the UK indefinitely
- Spend at least 50% of your working hours in England over the duration of the apprenticeship
- Have not completed a qualification or apprenticeship at the same level or higher which provided you with substantially the same skills or training as you would gain through this apprenticeship with Bank of America
