The Chief Financial Office (CFO) partners with all business units, performing traditional finance and accounting functions, as well as strategic analysis. CFO helps execute strategic goals, drive disciplined growth and enhance operational efficiencies at every level. CFO’s functions include management, financial and regulatory reporting and controls, balance sheet and capital management as well as corporate and strategic planning.


Overview:

The Asia Pacific CFO Analyst Program is a two-year program designed to provide candidates with an opportunity to work with experienced finance professionals and prepare for a career in the bank's CFO division. Under the Program, analysts will have the opportunity to move through two rotational assignments within the CFO division. This rotational process helps analysts develop a solid knowledge base of the functional areas of the CFO division and a broad range of skills. The Program not only provides program management support, but also structured learning events, training, and networking opportunities. The learning curriculum focuses on business, technical and soft skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Management forecasting and detailed cost interpretation and analysis
  • Statutory financial statements, corporate and regulatory reporting
  • Periodic review and substantiation of profit and loss reporting for traded products
  • Recommending procedures to improve the productivity and efficiency through, for example, modifying current reporting systems
  • Gain exposure to project activities, including business case development, financial modeling/ projection, analysis of applicable requirements, project      coordination, task/cost tracking and reporting
  • Assist CFO in managing various department activities including tracking and reporting key CFO initiatives, communications within CFO division as well as other ad-hoc projects/reports.
  • Gain exposure to helping CFO with business strategy/plan presentations


Qualifications:
Education

  • Final year undergraduate/ master student with outstanding academic achievement
  • Major in accountancy or business areas such as finance, economics, management or a related area

  • Being comfortable with change and adjust to changing demands and requirements

  • Fluency in English is essential, appropriate Asian language skills are also essential for some roles and countries
