Job Description & Program Overview

A core component of our Global Corporate & Investment Bank, Global Transaction Services (GTS) provides treasury products and services to corporate clients so that they can better manager their working capital cycle. Each day, we process $1.4 trillion in payments on behalf of our clients – transacting in up to 140 currencies and 230 countries and territories.

As a Summer Analyst, you will have broad exposure to the GTS organization working in either a Product or Sales function. You will also have the opportunity to participate in cross functional projects allowing you maximum exposure to GTS.

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the program in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Work with different product sets including cash management, liquidity, payments, foreign exchange, commercial card, trade and supply chain finance
  • Understand the end to end business, from product development through to selling the solution to clients
  • Ensure an effective hand over process to the Bank’s implementation team when new business is won, maintaining contact through the process to ensure client’s needs are met
  • Attend client / prospective client visits to grow and win new business
  • Participate in creating bespoke treasury solutions for clients
  • Prepare and eventually deliver proposals and presentations
  • For some roles within GTS a candidate should have a unique insight into the Sub Sahara Africa region with a benefit of active and on the ground experience and education so to advise clients on strategic topics

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelors or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between June 2021 and June 2022
  • On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine interest in Global Transaction Services and innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Integrity and professionalism in all interactions
